Dulal, Nur admit killing Rajon

Dulal Ahmed and Nur Miah, two more accused in Samiul Alam Rajon murder case, have confessed to torturing the 13-year-old to death on July 8 in Sylhet.

They made the confessional statement before the Sylhet Metropolitan Magistrate Court-3 under the section 164 of the code of criminal procedure (CrPC), reports our Moulvibazar correspondent.

Nur told the court that he has recorded the video and uploaded the footage on internet using his cell phone and then went on hiding in Ambarkhana area of Sylhet city. Later, he informed that Rajon had died, he told the court.

Dulal Ahmed told the court that he was active in torturing on Rajon.

Moyna Mia, another accused, made the confessional statement of torturing Rajon, a vegetable vendor, yesterday.

With this, a total of five accused have so far made their confessional statements but names of two others could not be known.

At least six men tied Rajon to an iron pole and beat him dead at Kumargaon Bus Stand of Sylhet for “trying to steal a rickshaw on July 8.
They also recorded the incident and uploaded the footage on the internet sparking huge public outcry. Jalalabad Police filed a murder case in this connection.

A total of 11 persons have so far been arrested in this connection.
