Dry weather likely over the country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted that weather may remain dry in the next 24 hours commencing 9:00am today.

“Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from midnight to tomorrow morning, it may continue till afternoon at places,” said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

Mild cold wave is sweeping over Ishwardi, Kurigram, Panchagarh and Kushtia regions, added the bulletin.

However, the night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said.

As an extended outlook for the next 72 hours, the bulletin predicted that the temperature may rise at the end period.

The highest temperature on Saturday was recorded 25.8 degree Celsius in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar, while today’s minimum temperature is 9.5 degree Celsius at Rajarhat in Rangpur district.

The sun sets at 5:30pm today and rises at 6:44am tomorrow in the capital.
