Drug addicts assault man

Criminals severely beat up a man on Wednesday for protesting taking of drugs by some youths in Jhalakathi's Rajapur upazila.

Critically injured Faizul Islam Mridha of Narikelbaria village is undergoing treatment at Neuroscience Hospital in Dhaka.

Faizul's elder brother Dulal Mridha said, about a week ago, his brother engaged in a quarrel with some local youths led by Ekram Khan when they were taking Yaba near his house.

Eyewitness said Ekram and his cohorts entered a barber shop and hit Faizul with cricket bat and stumps.
