Dhaka has expressed deep concern over the recent rocket launch by North Korea and urged the country to refrain from any action that might escalate tension in the Korean Peninsula.

In a statement today, the foreign ministry said Bangladesh is deeply concerned about the recent rocket launch by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).

“This is a clear violation of the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions,” the statement said.

Bangladesh hopes that the DPRK would exercise restraint and refrain from any action that might escalate the tension in the Korean Peninsula.
