Deer hides, venison seized

Bangladesh Coast Guard recovered deer hides, heads and venison from Jhonjhoniya canal area adjacent to the Sundarbans Kalabogi forest office on Tuesday.

Bangladesh Coast Guard West Zone (Mongla) Operations Officer Lieutenant Abdullah-Al-Mahmud said, on secret information, a team raided the area and recovered two deer hides, two heads of deer and 15 kg of venison around 3:00am.

However, none was arrested in this connection, he said.

The deer hides, heads and venison were later handed over to Kalabogi forest office.
