Death threat to slain trader's family members

Family members of slain vegetable trader Selim continued receiving death threat from the accused to withdraw case.

The victim's father Abdul Kabir made the allegation at a press conference at Thakurgaon Press Club on Monday afternoon. He also demanded speedy trail of the murder case to get justice.

Kabir urged law enforcers to take immediate steps against the accused who are giving threat to their family members.

Police recovered the beheaded body of Selim, 26, of Shingia village in Sadar upazila, from a bamboo cluster on June 25, a day after he went missing.

Following a murder case filed by the victim's father, police arrested Shahadat Hossain, Rafique and Rubel Sikdar of Sadar upazila.

Later, they were released from jail on bail and started threatening the victim's family to withdraw the case.

CID Inspector and also Investigation Officer of the case Rafiqul Islam said investigation is underway.
