Court asks OC to reply Jan 31

A court here issued a show cause notice to the officer-in-charge of Rangabali Police Station asking him to submit a reply on January 31 as he did not take step in a suicide case.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Rajib Roy on Thursday passed the order after hearing a petition submitted by the lawyer of victim's mother Nilufa Begum.

On November 16, the court asked OC Shamsul Arefin to take steps and submit a report to it, but he failed, said plaintiff's lawyer Umme Asma Akhi.

Reshma Begum, 20, of Haroganga village allegedly committed suicide on January 10 last year.

The OC said he could not submit a report as autopsy report is yet to reach him.
