The government has instructed people to offer their daily prayers at homes instead of mosques to prevent coronavirus transmission.

Religious affairs ministry has issued an urgent notice in this regard today.

Only five people including imam, muazzin, khatib and khadim will be allowed to offer their daily prayers at mosques to maintain jamaat, the notice said.

People have also been asked to offer Zohr prayers at home on Friday instead of Juma. Only 10 people including imam, muazzin, khatib and khadim will be allowed to offer prayers in each mosque during Juma.
