Chattogram road accident: death toll rises to 15

Three people, who were injured in yesterday's road accident in Chattogram, succumbed early today, raising the death toll to 15.

They were undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital, Afrujul Haque Tutul, additional superintendent of police Chattogram (south) confirmed The Daily Star.

Their identities could not be known immediately, reports our Chattogram correspondent.  

At least 13 people died on the spot and seven others injured after a pick-up van collided head-on with a salt-laden truck on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway in Lohagara upazila's Jangalia area yesterday.

Police seized the truck and arrested its driver.
