CCC polls: BNP at EC office to file complains

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Rizvi Ahmed reached the Election Commission (EC) to submit a statement over irregularities at the local administration in Comilla City Corporation polls scheduled to be held on March 30.

According to the instruction of BNP high-ups, Rizvi went to the EC at 3:00pm to draw the election governing body’s attention on the allegations placed by BNP.

Rizvi will submit a written statement of the party and will appeal to the EC for overseeing over the allegations, Syrul Kabir Khan, a staff of BNP chairperson’s media wing, told The Daily Star.

BNP already brought allegations against the district’s local administration for favouring ruling Awami League candidate in the elections.
