Budget to be placed Thursday

Finance Minister AMA Muhith will place the budget for the 2015-16 fiscal on Thursday in the second session of the 10th parliament and it will be passed on June 30.

The Business Advisory Committee of the parliament made the decision during its meeting held at the parliament complex with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair today.

Starting from 5:30pm today, the budget session will continue till July 9, according to the decision of the committee.

Some important bills are likely to be placed and passed during the session, sources at parliament secretariat said.

Prime Minister and Leader of the House Sheikh Hasina, Opposition Leader Raushan Ershad and Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad, among others, are the members of the 15-member Business Advisory Committee.
