BSF picks up Bangladeshi cattle trader

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up a Bangladeshi cattle trader from Burimari border in Patgram upazila of the district yesterday morning.

The detainee, Mofazzal Hossain, 24, is son of Abu Hanifar of bordering Mughlibari village in the upazila.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) sent a protest letter to their Indian counterparts yesterday asking them to return the detained Bangladeshi through a flag meeting, BGB officials said.

Subedar Wahedul Islam, camp commander of BGB 61 Battalion in Lalmonirhat, said BSF troops of Changrabandha camp under BSF 61 Battalion picked up Mofazzal while he entered into Indian territory without valid documents.
