A patrol team of BSF troops of Deepchar camp in Dhupri district of the Indian state of Assam opened fire on Nurul Amin around 4:00am when he entered the Indian territory to bring cattle, Abdul Aziz, company commander of local BGB, told The Daily Star.

The victim managed to flee the scene after he suffered bullet wounds. Nurul Amin succumbed to his injuries at his residence, the BGB official said.
