Four brokers have been jailed in Bogura on charges of being involved in corruption at the local office of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA).

The four – Ekramul Huque Dablo, 43, Md Abdul Majid, 33, Mahmudar Rahman Mukul, 50, Belal Hossain, 42 – were handed one-month jail each, our local correspondent reports.

They used to take money in exchange of file processing in BRTA for driving licenses, Md Moniruzzaman, deputy director of Anti-Corruption Commission in Bogura, said.

Executive Magistrate Mouli Mondal handed them jail terms after an ACC drive at local BRTA office this morning.
