Bridge collapse snaps Dhaka-Sylhet-Ctg rail link

Rail communication of Sylhet with Dhaka and Chittagong remains suspended following the collapse of a railway bridge in Madhabpur upazila of Habiganj this morning.

The bridge collapsed around 10:00am due to heavy rainfall from last night, Shaistaganj Stationmaster Saiful Islam told our local correspondent.

It will take some time to repair the bridge, said Mujibur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Srimangal Railway Police.
