Boy held for rape

A teen was arrested on Tuesday on charge of raping a four-year-old girl at Joberpur village in Chatmohar upazila of the district.

The arrestee is Enamul Haque, 15, son of Abdul Karim of the village.

Officer-in-Charge of Chatmohar Police Station SM Ahsan Habib said Enamul, also the neighbor of the victim, took her to his house in absence of his parents and raped her on Monday. 

Hearing the hue and cry, locals rushed to the spot and rescued the kid and sent her to Pabna General Hospital for treatment. However, Enamul managed to flee the scene.

Following a case filed by the victim's father, police arrested Enamul from the village on Tuesday afternoon, said the OC.
