BNP’s allegation not specific: EC

BNP’s allegations of irregularities in Khulna City Corporation polls are not specific, Election Commissioner Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury said today.

The Election Commissioner made the remarks after visiting the poll monitoring cell at the Election Commission office.

Except for a few isolated incidents, voting was peaceful, the Election Commissioner said.

“One polling station was closed and this is an isolated incident,” he said.

Replying to a query that BNP alleged agents were removed from the polling stations, Shahadat said “BNP’s allegation is not specific. It is unclear that who have removed whom.”
