bKash agent stabbed to death

A bKash agent was stabbed to death by a gang of unidentified criminals in Morakhola area of the district town early yesterday.

The dead was identified as Horipada Das, 50, of Kewatkhali area.

Quoting local people, Additional Police Superintendent of Mymensingh Mohammad Noor-e-Alam said bKash agent Horipada used to run a shop in the town's Padgodam Bridge area for long.

The miscreants waylaid Horipada at Morakhola when he was returning to his Kewatkhali house riding a motorbike around 12:30am and started stabbing him indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured, said the ASP.

The miscreants then looted around Tk 2.50 lakh and a mobile set from him and fled the scene, Noor-e-Alam said.

Local people rushed to the spot hearing scream of the victim and took him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) where he died.

The ASP said they arrested two people for their alleged involvement in the killing and the two are being interrogated.
