Bangladeshi businessman gunned down in S Africa

A Bangladeshi businessman was gunned down by terrorists in Lucy Krishy town of South Africa on Monday night.

The deceased identified as Abrar Hossain Pappu, 48, son of Sekandar Miah, hailing from Mahabbatpur village of Noakhali sadar upazila, had been living in South Africa since 1990.

Abrar along with his family used to live in Darban area of South Africa.

Deceased’s uncle Shamsul Alam said a gang of terrorists attacked Abrar’s business establishment around 7pm of Bangladeshi time and opened fire, leaving him dead on the spot.

Besides, Abrar’s guard, a South African citizen, was also killed in the attack.

A woman accountant received slight injuries to her hand.

Earlier last year, Abrar’s younger brother Iftekhar Hossain Tipu was also killed in a gun attack there.
