PM Hasina to visit Vatican Feb 12 to meet Pope

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will pay a state-visit to Vatican City on February 12 and meet Pope Francis.

The visit is expected to further deepen ties between Bangladesh and Vatican, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali said today in a briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Pope Francis visited Bangladesh last November-December and invited Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over. 

She will also be visiting Italy during her tour that will start from February 11 and continue until February 15.
