Jubo League leader shot dead in Rangamati

A local Jubo League leader was shot dead at Headmanpara in Kaptai upazila of Rangamati early today.

Usuipru Marma, 30, was the vice-president of ward-3 unit in the upazila, police confirmed.

Police recovered the bullet-hit body of Usuipru at 3:00am and sent it to Rangamati General Hospital for autopsy, said Assistant Superintendent of Police (Kaptai Circle) Junayed Kawsar.

Tanvir Hossain Siddique, general secretary of Kaptai upazila Jubo League, alleged that activists of the Jana Samhati Samiti (JSS) had shot Usuipru.

JSS could not be reached for comments yet.
