Bangladesh-India ink 3 MoUs on education

The High Commission of India today signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for three new development projects under Indian grant assistance.

The projects include construction of a four-storey college building in Kashinagar Degree College, Chouddagram, Comilla, construction of a five-storey student hostel in Chandpur, and construction of a two-storey girls’ hostel in Mirzapur, Tangail.

The total cost of these projects is Tk 7.71 Crore. The projects will be fully funded by Government of India, said a press release issued from the Indian High Commission.

So far, 36 projects amounting to Tk 126.36 crores have been completed under Indian grant assistance, which include construction of students’ hostels, cultural centers and orphanages.

Also, 45 other projects are currently under implementation with an outlay of around BDT 1,500 crore, the release said.
