Bangladesh condoles deaths at Kerala temple

Bangladesh has offered condolences over the death of devotees at a Kerala temple in India – that claimed the lives of at least 100 with twice more injured.

In a condolence message to his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali said: “I am deeply saddened to learn about the death of a large number of devotees.”

On behalf of the government and people of Bangladesh, Ali offered deepest condolences. “We have our sympathies for the injured and hope that those who are feared trapped would be rescued safely.”

The Foreign Minister prayed for the eternal peace of those who perished in and after the blaze and hoped for early recovery of the injured persons.
