BAU student found dead

A student of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) was found dead at his dormitory this noon.

The victim was identified as Atiqur Rahman Khan, 22, a fourth year student of Faculty of Fisheries of BAU.

BAU Prof Dr Atiqur Rahman Khokon said, “Atiqur was found hanging from the ceiling fan in this room at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall around 12:30pm.”

The body was sent to Mymensingh Medical College morgue for autopsy, the proctor said.

After autopsy, the body was handed over to the family members, he also said.

Primarily doctors said the student committed suicide, said the proctor adding that an unnatural death case was lodged with Kotwali Police Station this evening.
