JS goes into session Jan 7

The Jatiya Sangsad will go into its 19th session on January 7, 2018.

President Abdul Hamid convened the House session today, a press release of the parliament secretariat said.

The house will go into session at 04:00pm on the day.

Prior to the start of the session, the Business Advisory Committee of parliament will meet with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair to fix the duration and businesses of the 19th session.

Earlier, the 18th session of the current Parliament was prorogued on November 23 after ten working days.

According to the constitution there can be a maximum of 60 days' gap between the end of a session and the beginning of the next one.
