'Ban battery-run 3-wheelers in Bogura'

Students and cultural activists at a human chain yesterday demanded ban on the battery-run auto-rickshaws in the district town.

Unique Public School of the town organised the rally at Satmatha.

They were speaking at the programme, protesting the death of first grader Suraia Tasnim Prapti after a battery-run auto-rickshaw turned upside down on April 19.

Prapti's father Md Ibrahim Hossain at the rally said none can bear the pain of losing a child in such an accident. He urged the local administration to ban this kind of vehicles to prevent such an accident.

Bogura  Zilla School Headmaster Abu Nur Mohammad Anisul Islam Chowdhury said reckless driving leads to accidents and people should boycott such vehicles.
