Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee today blamed the failure of the local administrations and police behind the October 30 attacks on Hindu temples and Hindu community in Brahmanbaria.

Shariar Kabir, the acting president of the anti-war criminal platform, also demanded for a judicial inquiry into the incident to identify the real perpetrators and ensure their exemplary punishment.

He came up with the remarks while talking to reporters after visiting Haripur union in Nasirnagar upazila of Brahmanbaria where the synchronised attack was carried out over a Facebook post allegedly by one Rasraj Das.

After visiting the area, Shariar claimed that local politicians “instigated” the incident aiming to portray Bangladesh as a “communal” country.
