A team of Rab-6 arrested Bablu in Arapur bus stand area in the town, Major Monir Ahmed, company commander of the elite force, told the correspondent.

He is the son of Abdul Gaffar of Baroikhali village in Kala upazila of Shatkhira, Major Monir said.

On December 18, 2015, at least 24 people, mostly civilians, were injured in two incidents of explosions at two mosques inside the Bangladesh Navy's Issa Khan Base.

After a long investigation, investigation officer Osman Goni submitted a charge sheet with EPZ Police Station on October 15 this year accusing Abdul Mannan, Ramjan Ali, Gaffar Hossain, Bablu Rahman and Shakhawat Hossain.

Of them Mannan, Ali and Gaffar are in prison while Bablu and Shakhawat had gone into hiding.

Commander Abu Sayeed, naval provost marshal of Chittagong, filed the case with the police station on September 3 under the anti-terrorism act, accusing the five people.

According to the First Information Report (FIR) of the case, Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) Chittagong region chief coordinator Raisul Islam Khan Noman alias Fardin alias Nasif coordinated the attacks. Fardin was reportedly killed on April 3 in Bogra while making bombs.
