Arms, ammo seized

Police seized firearms and ammunition from an abandoned house of listed criminal Farid at Palerhaat village in Laxmipur Sadar upazila on Monday night. Acting on a tip-off, a team of law enforces, led by Superintendent of Police Shah Mijan Shafiur Rahman, raided the house when Farid along with his cohorts was holding a secret meeting around 11:00pm. Sensing the presence of the law enforcers, the criminals fled the scene. Police seized two single-barrel guns, a rifle, a light gun (LG) and 95 bullets from the house.
