AL leader slaps education officer

An Awami League leader slapped the upazila primary education officer of Chatmohar in the district on Monday.

Demanding justice, the government officers and employees working in Chatmohar formed a human chain in front of the upazila parishad yesterday afternoon, said Soheli Laila, upazila nirbahi officer.

Abul Bashar Md Shamsuzzaman, upazila primary education officer, said, "After I attended a programme at Kuthipara Government Primary School on Monday, Abdul Hamid Master, vice president of Pabna district Awami League, slapped me without any reason.”

Abdul Hamid could not be contacted as he went to India yesterday.
