AL bags most councillor posts

Ruling Awami League (AL) bagged most of the councillor posts in eight municipalities of Tangail district.

In Tangail, AL won 11 councillor posts and BNP seven. In reserved (female) posts, AL bagged three, BNP two and independent candidate one.

In Madhupur, AL won eight councillor posts while BNP won only one. In reserved (female) posts, AL won two and independent candidate won one.

In Dhanbari, AL got seven councillor posts while BNP won two. In reserved (female) posts, BNP won all three.

In Kalihati, BNP got six councillor posts and AL three. In reserved (female) posts, AL, BNP and independent won one each.

In Sakhipur, AL got six councillor posts while BNP got two and KSJL one. In reserved (female) posts, independents won all three posts.

In Mirzapur, AL bagged six councillor posts and BNP three. In reserved (female) posts, AL won all three posts.

In Bhuapur, AL won seven councillor posts and BNP two. In reserved (female) posts, AL bagged all three posts.

In Gopalpur, AL got six councillor posts while BNP won three. In reserved (female) posts, independents bagged all three.
