Addict beats wife for money

A housewife landed in Tarash Upazila Health Complex of Sirajganj as she sustained severe ear injury by her drug addict husband  on Tuesday night.

The victim, Sakina Khatun, 35, wife of Mosharaf Hossain of Radhakantapur village in the upazila, lodged a complaint with Tarash Police Station  yesterday.

Mosharaf often tortured Sakina for money since their marriage five years ago, the victim's family mebers said.

"Mosharaf demanded money from Sakina on Tuesday night. As she refused, he beat her mercilessly, leaving her left ear badly injured, and fled," said Tarash Police Station OC Md Mostafizur Rahman.
