7 injured as Jessore BCL factions clash

At least seven people were injured in a clash between two factions of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) in Jessore's Abhaynagar upazila on Sunday night.

Party sources said the clash took place when Rinku Ahmed, an activist of the upazila unit BCL, along with his men attacked tea stall owner Abdur Razzak as the latter demanded prices of several cups of tea.

At that time, the supporters of Razzak, another activist of the unit, clashed with Rinku and his men in Nowapara industrial area, leaving seven people from both sides injured.

The injured were rushed to the upazila health complex, said Sheikh Goni Mia, officer in charge of Abhaynagar Police Station.
