7 ‘carjackers’ held in Dhaka

Rapid Action Battalion, in separate drives, arrested seven alleged carjackers and recovered seven stolen vehicles in Mohammadpur area of Dhaka in the early hours of today.

The drives started soon after the midnight and continued until 4:00am, said Lt Col Mohiuddin, commanding officer of Rab-2.

The seven vehicles included two private cars, two microbuses, two mini trucks and a CNG-run auto rickshaw, the Rab official said.

Some firearms were also recovered during the drives.
