6 workers burnt in Habiganj factory fire

At least six workers of a factory are burnt in a fire triggered by a gas cylinder explosion in Sadar upazila of Habiganj on Sunday, February 28, 2016.

At least six workers of a factory were burnt in a fire triggered by a gas cylinder explosion in Sadar upazila of Habiganj this morning.
The injured -- Abdul Motaleb, 25, Rabiul Islam, 22, Alamgir Hossain, 26, Nasim Miah, 27, Sumon Miah, 28, and Shipon Mia, 30 – are workers of a Pran factory in Alipur area in the upazila, our Moulvibazar correspondent reports quoting a doctor.
The fire was originated around 9:30am following a sudden explosion of the gas cylinder kept inside a bicycle factory, Bazlur Rahman, a doctor of Habiganj Sadar Hospital, said quoting the victims.
The injured were undergoing treatment at the hospital, he said.
Yasinul Haq, officer-in-charge (OC) of Shaistaganj Police Station, confirmed the incident.
