Police accused them of keeping illegal arms. Police also said they were involved in seditious activities as well as involved in tarnishing the country’s image.

Meanwhile, police started pumping out the water from the lake today.

“We will pump out all the water from the lake-bed to check whether any arms left there,” Islami Hossain, officer-in-charge of Rupganj Police Station, told The Daily Star.

He also said divers of fire service and civil defense searched the lake-bed on Saturday. But they couldn’t recover any arms from there.

“That’s why we have taken measures to pump all the water from the lake to become sure so that no leaves are left unturned,” added the OC.

On Saturday, a huge cache of firearms and ammunition were hauled from the lake including two rocket launchers and Chinese sub-machine guns (SMGs).
