6 including Indian citizen killed in Faridpur road crashes

At least six people, including an Indian citizen, were killed and 22 others were injured in separate road accidents in Faridpur this morning.

Senior Station Master of Faridpur Fire Service Md Saifuzzaman said a bus of 'Eagle Paribahan' coming from Kolkata plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the wheels.

The road crash killed two people on the spot and injured 22 others, he said.

Among the injured, Indian citizen Sushanta Manda, a resident of Barashat in India, died on the way to Faridpur Medical College and Hospital.

Meanwhile, officer-in-charge of Bhanga Highway Police Md Ezazuddin said a truck hit another brick-laden truck which was parked in Pulia Bazar area of Bhanga on Dhaka-Mawa-Khulna Highway around 9am, killing two people on the spot and injuring another.

Later, Rinku Bhuiyan, 28, of Shibchar died after he was admitted to a local hospital.

The deceased were identified as Milon Molla, 26, and Chan Mia, 35, both are the residents of Shibchar in Madaripur.
