5 suspected militants held in Natore

Police today detained five suspected militants from Natore Sadar upazila.

The arrestees are Abu Tarek, 20, son of Habibur Rahnan of Nawgaon district, Sumon Rana, 22, son of Abul Kalam of Dinajpur, Alauddin alias Zim, 22, son of Jahedul Islam of Gaibanda, Shahidul Islam, 22, son of Haidar Ali of Tangail, and Rakibul Islam, 23, son of Alauddin Ali of Mirpara village, reports our Natore correspondent.

Law enforcers detained them on suspicion as they had rented the same room in a remote village, Ramaigasi, said Rofiqul Islam, assistant superintendent of police in Natore.

A laptop and some jihadi books were also recovered from their procession, the ASP added.
