5 injured in Barisal oil tanker blast

Five crews of an oil tanker sustained burn injuries after a blast at the engine room of the vessel while unloading fuel at Jamuna Oil depot on the bank of Kirtankhola river in Barisal.

The incident took place around 9:00pm, reports our local correspondent quoting Md Faruk Hossain, assistant director of Fire Service and Civil Defence in Barisal.

On information, five units of fire service rushed to the spot and extinguished the flame within an hour.
