40 Bangladeshi women brought back from India

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have brought back 40 Bangladeshi women, who were detained by Indian police from bordering area near Netrakona.

The Bangladeshis, mostly from Garo and Hajong communities, entered the Indian territory illegally through different points at Bijoypur border in Netrakona to take part in Chaitra Sangkranti celebration yesterday, said a press release of BGB.

On information, Bijoypur Company commander of Netrakona 11-BGB Battalion, bought them back in association with the Indian Border Security Force and police of both the countries, the press release read.
