4 'robbers' held with bombs

Police arrested four alleged robbers with bombs and swords at Hogoldanga in Chuadanga's Damurhuda upazila on Monday.

The arrestees are Hossain Ali, 27, of Jibonnagar upazila, Lavlu, 32, of Sadar upazila, Selim Uddin, 25, and Abdus Samad, 33, of Damurhuda upazila.

Ashraful Islam, sub-inspector of Detective Branch of police in Chuadanga, said informed that a gang were taking preparation to commit robbery on Chuadanga-Jhenidah highway around 11:30pm, the law enforcers raided the area and arrested four robbers.

They also recovered four swords and five bombs from the possession of the arrestees, said the SI.
