34th BCS: 196 get non-cadre posts

The Public Service Commission has recommended appointing 196 aspirants who passed the 34th BCS test for non-cadre posts.

In a press release today, the commission said that the recommendation was made on the basis of educational qualification, merit and quota.

Of the 196, 37 candidates have been recommended for the posts of social welfare officers while 27 for the posts of assistant director at Department of National Savings, 18 as probation officers at Directorate of Social Welfare, 15 in the lecturer posts at Textile Engineering College, and 13 as assistant directors at Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection.

The rest were recommended for the posts in other ministries, divisions and directorates, the release read.

The PSC is appointing them under the Non-cadre Posts Recruitment (Special) Rules-2010 and its amended rules issued on June 16, 2014.
