3 injured in Ctg car cylinder blast

Three persons were injured as a gas-cylinder of a car blasted at a CNG filling station in Chittagong’s Khulshi area today.

The car was waiting to refill gas when the explosion occurred at 2:30pm, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khulshi Police Station Md Nijam Uddin.

The two injured-- Sentu and Yusuf --were rushed to city’s Holy Crescent Hospital, while the third victim, whose identity could not be known immediately, is undergoing treatment at a local hospital, the OC added.

Of the injured, Sentu is a driver of another vehicle waiting to refill, while Yusuf is a staff of Khulshi Filling Station, said Amalgir Hossain, a sub-inspector of the police station.
