3 die in Savar under-construction building collapse

Three construction workers died when an under-construction building collapsed in Savar this afternoon.

Two of the deceased were identified as Jalal Hossain, 60, and Jahangir Hossain, 50, while the identity of the other deceased could not be known immediately, reports our local correspondent quoting police. 

The incident took place when a one-storey under-construction building of Primal Foods and Drinks Ltd in Jirabo area collapsed around 2:30pm when the victims were working there, said Mohsinul Kadir, officer-in-charge of Ashulia Police Station.

They were rushed to Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar, where doctors declared Jalal and another dead, while Jahangir later succumbed to his injuries, the OC added.
