3 Avijit killing suspects remanded again

A Dhaka court today placed three alleged members of Ansarullah Bangla Team on a fresh three-day remand in connection with the killing of blogger-writer Avijit Roy.

Metropolitan Magistrate Asaduzzaman Noor passed the order after the Detective Branch of police produced the suspects before the court with a seven-day remand prayer.

The detectives in the remand prayer stated that they have gathered important information about the killing from the arrestees, and they need to be remanded again to find out vital clues about the incident.

Earlier in the day, the defence submitted a petition seeking bail of the arrestees.

The three suspects were produced before the court today on completion of their seven-day remand.
