25 sued for killing farmer

A case was filed on Tuesday in connection with the killing of Mokhles Hawlader, 50, in Purba Char Hoglabuniya village under Morrelganj upazila.

Victim's wife Taslima Begum, 45, filed the case with Morrelganj Police Station.

"Around 25 people attacked my husband in fornt of our house on Sunday. They cut the veins of his legs, beat him, dragged him along the road and fled. We took him to hospital where the doctor declared him dead,” she said.

“We have a dispute over land with Khalil Hawlader, 35, of Purba Char-Hoglabuniya village,” she said.

“A case was filed, accusing Khalil and 15 named and nine unnamed people. All of them are absconding,” said OC Alamgir Kabir.
