2 ‘JMB militants’ held in Natore

Law enforcers today claimed arrest of two militants of banned Islamist outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Natore Sadar upazila.

A unit of Rapid Action Battalion-5 made the detention from Bonbelghoria area around 1:30pm, our Natore correspondent reports quoting a Rab official.

The detainees were identified as Rasel, 23, son of Younus Ali from Mymensingh’s Fulbaria, and Mofazzal Hossain, 31, son of Ismail Hossain from Naogaon.

They confessed their involvement during primary quizzing, Atiqul Islam, an assistant superintendent and company commander of Natore Rab said.

Money receipts of donations for the militant unit, one foreign pistol, six bullets and two magazines were seized from their possession. Further details in this regard were awaited.
