2 Huji men arrested in Chuadanga
Militancy related booklets, bomb-making materials seized
Two members of Harkat-ul Jihad (Huji) were arrested at Karpashdanga Bazar in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga yesterday.
Jhenidah Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) launched a drive at the bazar and arrested the two militants with bomb-making materials and many militancy related booklets.
The arrestees are Abdullah Al-Mamun, 28, and Rakibul Islam, 32. Jhenidah Rab Commander Major Monir Ahmed said on information they raided Karpashdanga area around 5:45am when seven to eight Huji members were holding a meeting and arrested the two. He said they recovered many militancy related booklets and bomb-making materials from their possession.
The arrestees disclosed a lot of information during interrogation that should not be disclosed for the sake of investigation of the case, he added.
