2 held with 35 gold bars in Comilla

Police arrested two people along with 35 gold bars from Toll Plaza area in Daudkandi upazila this afternoon.
The arrestees were identified as Kafil Uddin, son of Obaidul Haque, hailing from Dakhhin Kuhuma village in Chhagalnaiya upazila and Milon, son of Badsha Miah of Ashwadia in Sadar upazila of Feni district.
Abu Salam Miah, officer-in-charge of Daudkandi Police Station, said being tipped off, police conducted a drive in the Dhaka-bound microbus from Feni in the afternoon and recovered the gold bars from their possessions.
A case was filed in this connection.
