2 CU students die falling off waterfall

Two Chittagong University students died after falling off a waterfall on the campus this afternoon.

The victims Naimul Hossain Pavel and Ashaduzzaman Rifat were first year students of human resources and management department, said Anwar Hossain, an assistant proctor of the university.

The victims along with four friends went there to take a bath around 4:30pm, defying restrictions, the teacher told our CU correspondent.

On information, divers from Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies after an hour of search.

The bodies will be sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy, the assistant proctor added.
